Evelyn Sosa was born in 1989 in Havana, Cuba. An emerging photographer who specializes in portraits when she is not busy covering events like the Havana Marathon, Sosa lives and works in Havana. Sosa shows the power of femininity through photos of women in different familiar or intimate settings. In 2016, Sosa was the winner of the Herman Puig Prize, awarded yearly to the best artist of the Body Photography Salon in Havana.

We curated a set of woman’s portraits in limited edition where Sosa captures the very essence of each subject in a very emotionally charged, sensual and compelling way that is highly representative of Sosa’s amazing talent.

Her last series in 2022 features amazing portraits of Ava a beautiful transgender woman from Havana, poignantly portraued by Evelyn and featured in her New York, March 2023, duo show “You are Everyone Who Tells a Story”

In 2022-2023, Sosa has been awarded by the International Center for Photgraphy in New York, a special grant to attend a one year program centered on Photo-journalism.
