Jenny Macías, born in Cienfuegos, Cuba in 1985, is a distinguished alumna of the University of Cienfuegos, Cuba, where she earned her degree in Social Communication in 2010. She furthered her academic pursuits by obtaining a Master's degree in Art Studies from the Ibero-American University of Mexico City in 2019. Currently, she is in the final stages of her Doctorate in Communication at the same institution.

Since 2017, Macías has focused her research on themes of photography, image, and representation, a fascination that has recently led her to venture into photography. In her photographic endeavors, she harnesses the medium's potential to craft stories, scenarios, and places, drawing from remnants of reality. She is particularly intrigued by the photographic accident, montage, and deformation as artistic tools.
