He is a Cuban painter who has gained significant recognition in both Cuban and international art circles. Kelvin graduated consecutively from the El Cucalambé Elementary School of Fine Arts in Las Tunas in 1991; from the Intermediate School of Fine Arts in Holguín in 1994; and from the Higher Institute of Arts in Havana in 2000. Currently, he is a member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and a Professor at the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA) in Havana. He has participated in numerous solo exhibitions and over a hundred group shows, both in Cuba and abroad. His work is featured in important collections worldwide, notably including the Arizona State University Art Museum in Phoenix, United States, the Amistad Foundation in New York, USA, and the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in California, USA.
