Omar Díaz Guadarrama was born on September 24, 1956, in Havana, Cuba. A self-taught artist, Guadarrama entered the world of visual arts through sculpture before becoming a painter, now fully dedicated to the realization of large-format works depicting vast, hyper-realistic Cuban landscapes, in both color and black-white. He has exhibited in more than 30 exhibitions and his works are currently in private collections in 8 countries including the United States, Mexico and Italy.
